Our proposal fits in the “save &risk” category of the Seoul Biennale 2021.
Our project is an architectural and urban prospective design for Kaohsiung City 2050 (Taiwan) under stress of a highly critical situation cumulating an earthquake disaster, floods due to typhoon’s heavy rains and sea level rise in 2050…
The project is based on a broad range analysis of Kaohsiung existing urban fabric spatial and environmental behavior under 2050 projected climate conditions. It takes into account various physical and strategical data (hydrological, geological, emergency plans, infrastructures) that will impact city in the future. The project is based on local resources available in bulk and quickly usable to build emergency housing. Kaohsiung being one of the main Asian fret harbors, containers are a local primary resource and constitute the raw material for our design proposal.
